Dutton Park to Salisbury Construction

Seven stations on Brisbane’s southside- Salisbury, Rocklea, Moorooka, Yeerongpilly, Yeronga, Fairfield and Dutton Park – will be rebuilt as part of the Cross River Rail project.

Station upgrades will include new overpasses and passenger lifts, accessible parking bays, new kiss’n’ride spaces, platform improvements and bike enclosures.

Salisbury station construction update - October 2024

During October, platform 3 construction and ETCS equipment foundation works will continue within the rail corridor.

Clapham Yard construction update - October and November 2024

In October and November 2024, UNITY Alliance will continue earthworks, drainage, bridge works, track construction, overhead electrical works and the installation of services at Clapham Yard.

Moorooka station early works - September and October 2024

From mid-September, early works will commence at Moorooka station ahead of major construction commencing in 2025. This will include the demolition of the building at 1137 Ipswich Road over the coming months, weather and construction conditions permitting.

Access into the corridor will be via Annerley Road, Cope Street, Fenton Street, Noble Street, Kent Street, Sampson Street, Mildmay Street and Ensign Avenue. Please follow the direction of traffic control and signage and allow for extra time to travel.

Dutton Park station construction update - September 2024

In September 2024, construction will progress on the commisioning and fit-out of station buildings, pedestrian overpass and platform shade canopies. Work will also continue on the Annerley Road and Noble Street station entries, including paths, stairs and landscaping.

Completion works Rocklea station - August to September 2024

During August and September, UNITY Alliance will continue minor rectification and finishing works around the Rocklea station precinct.

Yeerongpilly station construction update - October 2024

In September 2024, UNITY Alliance progressed with the fit-out of station buildings, canopies and the Wilkie Street station entry. In October, fit-out of the station buildings will continue along with installing structural steel, earthworks and drainage, and Wilkie Street commuter car park construction.

Yeronga station construction update - November 2023 to January 2024

Between November 2023 and January 2024, minor finishing works at Yeronga station will continue.

Fairfield station signalling system construction update - June and July 2024

During June and July 2024, UNITY Alliance will commence works to install European Train Control System (ETCS) equipment including a signalling radio mast and equipment shelter within the rail corridor at Fairfield station.
