Dutton Park to Salisbury Construction

Seven stations on Brisbane’s southside- Salisbury, Rocklea, Moorooka, Yeerongpilly, Yeronga, Fairfield and Dutton Park – will be rebuilt as part of the Cross River Rail project.

Station upgrades will include new overpasses and passenger lifts, accessible parking bays, new kiss’n’ride spaces, platform improvements and bike enclosures.

Salisbury station construction update - June 2024

During June 2024, UNITY Alliance will continue early works as part of the Cross River Rail, Salisbury station accessibility upgrade.

Clapham Yard construction update - June and July 2024

In June and July 2024, UNITY Alliance will continue earthworks, drainage, bridge works, track construction, overhead electrical works and the installation of services at Clapham Yard.

Access into the corridor will be via Annerley Road, Cope Street, Fenton Street, Noble Street, Kent Street, Sampson Street, Mildmay Street and Ensign Avenue. Please follow the direction of traffic control and signage and allow for extra time to travel.

Dutton Park station construction update - June 2024

During June 2024, the fit out of station buildings, pedestrian overpass, platform shade canopies and retaining walls under the Annerley Road bridge and along Kent Street are ongoing. Track construction will continue on both day and night shifts during June and early July.

Rocklea station construction update - June 2024

In May 2024, UNITY Alliance continued overpass and station building fit out, drainage installation and construction of platforms and the commuter carpark. By the end of June, major construction at Rocklea station will be nearing completion. Notification will be provided to the community ahead of the station reopening.

Yeerongpilly station construction update - June 2024

During June, platform 1 construction will continue and internal fit out works will commence for the station building structure on platform 2/3.

Yeronga station construction update - November 2023 to January 2024

Between November 2023 and January 2024, minor finishing works at Yeronga station will continue.

Fairfield station signalling system construction update - June and July 2024

During June and July 2024, UNITY Alliance will commence works to install European Train Control System (ETCS) equipment including a signalling radio mast and equipment shelter within the rail corridor at Fairfield station.
