Dutton Park to Salisbury Construction

Seven stations on Brisbane’s southside- Salisbury, Rocklea, Moorooka, Yeerongpilly, Yeronga, Fairfield and Dutton Park – will be rebuilt as part of the Cross River Rail project.

Station upgrades will include new overpasses and passenger lifts, accessible parking bays, new kiss’n’ride spaces, platform improvements and bike enclosures.

Salisbury station construction update - July 2024

During July 2024, UNITY Alliance will continue early works as part of the Cross River Rail, Salisbury station accessibility upgrade.

Clapham Yard construction update - June and July 2024

In June and July 2024, UNITY Alliance will continue earthworks, drainage, bridge works, track construction, overhead electrical works and the installation of services at Clapham Yard.

Access into the corridor will be via Annerley Road, Cope Street, Fenton Street, Noble Street, Kent Street, Sampson Street, Mildmay Street and Ensign Avenue. Please follow the direction of traffic control and signage and allow for extra time to travel.

Dutton Park station construction update - July 2024

During June 2024, construction activities will focus on the fit out of station buildings, pedestrian overpass and platform shade canopies, as well as construction of the retaining walls under the Annerley Road bridge and along Kent Street. These activities will continue in July 2024.

Rocklea station construction update - July 2024

On Monday 8 July 2024, Queensland Rail and Translink in collaboration with UNITY Alliance will reopen Rocklea station to train services. The station will be fully accessible, providing a better transport experience for all customers.

Yeerongpilly station construction update - July 2024

During July, platform 1 construction and internal fit out works for the station buildings and canopy on platform 2/3 will continue.

Between November 2023 and January 2024, minor finishing works at Yeronga station will continue.

Fairfield station signalling system construction update - June and July 2024

During June and July 2024, UNITY Alliance will commence works to install European Train Control System (ETCS) equipment including a signalling radio mast and equipment shelter within the rail corridor at Fairfield station.
