Six stations on Brisbane’s southside- Salisbury, Rocklea, Moorooka, Yeerongpilly, Yeronga, and Fairfield – will will be rebuilt through the Cross River Rail project.
Station upgrades will include new overpasses and passenger lifts, accessible parking bays, new kiss’n’ride spaces, platform improvements and bike enclosures.
Construction is now underway at two of the six station rebuild sites.

In April, UNITY Alliance opened the permanent overpass and platform stairs on Equity Street, removed the temporary scaffold stairs and commenced streetscaping works around station entries. During May, works will continue on construction of station buildings and platform 3, and streetscaping works around station entries on Equity Street and Mildmay Street
During May-June 2023, UNITY Alliance will continue service relocation works, overpass foundation construction, drainage works, retaining walls and platform construction at Rocklea station.
During May-June 2023, UNITY Alliance will continue earthworks, drainage construction, internal bridge construction, rail installation and installation of services at Clapham Yard.

During May-June 2023, the three new station lifts opened to customers marking the completion of major construction at Yeronga station. In April, minor finishing works will continue.
On Monday 9 January 2023, Queensland Rail and Translink in collaboration with UNITY Alliance will reopen Fairfield station to train services. When the station reopens, access to platforms 1 and 2 will be via stairs only while construction continues.
