The new underground station at Woolloongabba is situated in the heart of a precinct undergoing major regeneration. Located between Vulture and Stanley streets, the new station and building will be a clear landmark within the heart of this major event precinct.
Activities at Woolloongabba station are now transitioning to testing and commissioning. Inside the station, all escalators, lifts, and passenger screen doors have been installed, with testing and commissioning now underway. Outside the station, finishing works are progressing.
As part of essential utility and service work required for the new Woolloongabba station, intermittent traffic and pedestrian changes will continue on Main, Leopard and Stanley streets until mid-2026.
