Salisbury to Fairfield Station Upgrades
Cross River Rail will deliver major accessibility upgrades to six stations in the south of Brisbane;
Station accessibility will be boosted with new overpasses, lifts, kiss’n’ride infrastructure and bike facilities included in Cross River Rail’s proposed package of works.
A third platform will be added to these stations and the heights of the existing platforms raised to accommodate the NGR (New Generation Rollingstock) trains which will travel through Cross River Rail’s twin tunnels.
To coincide with these works, further upgrades will be delivered at these stations by the Cross River Rail contractor, funded by the Queensland Government’s station accessibility upgrade program.
Delivering both packages of work at the same time by the same contractor will minimise disruption for commuters and maximise savings.
