Dutton Park to Salisbury Construction

Seven stations on Brisbane’s southside- Salisbury, Rocklea, Moorooka, Yeerongpilly, Yeronga, Fairfield and Dutton Park – will be rebuilt as part of the Cross River Rail associated works.

Station upgrades will include new overpasses and passenger lifts, accessible parking bays, new kiss’n’ride spaces, platform improvements and bike enclosures.

Stations rebuild progress

Construction and early works are now underway.

Several of the station rebuild programs are now complete with stations now open to the public. Moorooka and Salisbury stations rebuild constructions are underway.

Salisbury station construction update - February 2025

In February 2025, construction will continue with the installation of drainage, services (e.g., electrical, water), structural steel, and footings including earthworks and concreting.

Clapham Yard construction update - February and March 2025

In February and March 2025, UNITY Alliance will continue to undertake earthworks, drainage and service installation, bridge construction, track, signalling, and overhead electrical works at Clapham Yard.

Moorooka station early works - September and October 2024

From mid-September, early works will commence at Moorooka station ahead of major construction commencing in 2025. This will include the demolition of the building at 1137 Ipswich Road over the coming months, weather and construction conditions permitting.

Dutton Park station construction update - February and March 2025

In February and March 2025, works will continue on Kent Street and within the rail corridor including the installation of overhead electrical structures, signaling equipment, cable routes, and drainage.

During August and September, UNITY Alliance will continue minor rectification and finishing works around the Rocklea station precinct.

Yeerongpilly station construction update - February 2025

On Monday 17 February 2025, Queensland Rail and Translink in collaboration with UNITY Alliance will reopen Yeerongpilly station to train services. The station will be fully accessible, providing a better transport experience for all customers. Thank you for your ongoing patience during the accessibility rebuild of Yeerongpilly station.

Yeronga station construction update - November 2023 to January 2024

Between November 2023 and January 2024, minor finishing works at Yeronga station will continue.

Fairfield station signalling system construction update - June and July 2024

During June and July 2024, UNITY Alliance will commence works to install European Train Control System (ETCS) equipment including a signalling radio mast and equipment shelter within the rail corridor at Fairfield station.
