Dutton Park to Salisbury Construction

Seven stations on Brisbane’s southside- Salisbury, Rocklea, Moorooka, Yeerongpilly, Yeronga, Fairfield and Dutton Park – will be rebuilt as part of the Cross River Rail associated works.

Station upgrades will include new overpasses and passenger lifts, accessible parking bays, new kiss’n’ride spaces, platform improvements and bike enclosures.

Stations rebuild progress

Construction and early works are now underway.

Several of the station rebuild programs are now complete with stations now open to the public. Moorooka and Salisbury stations rebuild constructions are underway.

Construction update Salisbury station - December 2025 and January 2026

Throughout December 2025 and January 2026, works will continue at the station including installation of services, drainage works, installation of station lifts, fit out of station buildings, canopies and pedestrian overpass, and landscaping.

Dutton Park station construction update - December 2025 and January 2026

In December 2025 and January 2026, access to the station and platforms is currently via the stairs and lifts from the Annerley Road and Noble Street station entries. Due to ongoing construction and finishing works north of Annerley Road, access to the station via Kent Street will remain closed until works in that area are complete.

Rocklea station construction update - November 2025

In November 2025, UNITY Alliance will undertake overhead electrical and signalling works within the rail corridor at Rocklea station during scheduled track possessions.

During August 2025, UNITY Alliance will undertake minor platform construction works at Yeronga station and signalling works within the rail corridor during a scheduled track possession.

Clapham Yard construction update - December 2025 and January 2026

During December 2025 and January 2026, earthworks, drainage installation, conduit installations for services, bridge construction, structural steel installation for the CMF, signalling and overhead electrical line works will continue at Clapham Yard. Early works for Moorooka station will continue with service location and site establishment.

During June and July 2025, UNITY Alliance will undertake rail corridor drainage works around the Fairfield station precinct.

Installation of signalling infrastructure – October 2025

Between 6.00am on Saturday 25 October until 6.00pm on Sunday 26 October, excavation and trenching will be undertaken within the rail corridor alongside Gerlee Street, Tennyson. These works are essential to support the future installation of cabling for the new digital signalling system known as the European Train Control System (ETCS).
