Dutton Park to Salisbury Construction

Seven stations on Brisbane’s southside- Salisbury, Rocklea, Moorooka, Yeerongpilly, Yeronga, Fairfield and Dutton Park – will be rebuilt as part of the Cross River Rail project.

Station upgrades will include new overpasses and passenger lifts, accessible parking bays, new kiss’n’ride spaces, platform improvements and bike enclosures.

Salisbury station construction update - November 2024

In October 2024, UNITY Alliance continued concrete foundation works for the new Salisbury station pedestrian overpass, platform 3 concreting and installation of drainage and service conduits. During November, platform 3 construction and European Train Control System (ETCS) equipment foundation works will continue within the rail corridor. Clapham Yard construction update - October and November 2024

In October and November 2024, UNITY Alliance will continue earthworks, drainage, bridge works, track construction, overhead electrical works and the installation of services at Clapham Yard.

Moorooka station early works - September and October 2024

From mid-September, early works will commence at Moorooka station ahead of major construction commencing in 2025. This will include the demolition of the building at 1137 Ipswich Road over the coming months, weather and construction conditions permitting.

Dutton Park station construction update - November 2024

Dutton Park station reopened to the public on Monday 21 October and construction is expected to continue until late 2025. In November, ongoing activities will include final touches at the station and continued work at Kent Street.

Completion works Rocklea station - August to September 2024

During August and September, UNITY Alliance will continue minor rectification and finishing works around the Rocklea station precinct.

Yeerongpilly station construction update - November 2024

In November 2024, UNITY Alliance will proceed with the fit-out of station buildings, canopies, and the Wilkie Street station entrance, as well as the construction of commuter car parks and landscaping at Yeerongpilly station. Major works at Yeerongpilly station are expected to be finished later this year, with the station to reopen to customers once all works and testing and commissioning activities are complete in early-2025.

Yeronga station construction update - November 2023 to January 2024

Between November 2023 and January 2024, minor finishing works at Yeronga station will continue.

Fairfield station signalling system construction update - June and July 2024

During June and July 2024, UNITY Alliance will commence works to install European Train Control System (ETCS) equipment including a signalling radio mast and equipment shelter within the rail corridor at Fairfield station.
