New High-Capacity Stations

Cross River Rail will not only create new train capacity for Brisbane as it evolves and grows as a city, it will ensure high-capacity train stations where they are needed most.

Exhibition station will provide every day service to the high-growth residential and commercial developments in the local area.

Roma Street station will generate urban renewal and revitalisation of this underused area of Brisbane’s CBD.

Albert Street station will be the first CBD train station built in more than 120 years, dramatically improving connectivity to the southern CBD.

Woolloongabba station will serve large events as well as providing year-round services for local residents and business.

Boggo Road station will become South East Queensland’s second-busiest transport interchange and will stimulate growth of the existing health, science and knowledge precinct.

Cross River Rail includes five new high-capacity stations where they are needed most: Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street, Roma Street and Exhibition, which will be used by 164,000 passengers daily

Each of Cross River Rail’s high-capacity stations will generate unique opportunities for urban renewal, economic development, the revitalisation of inner-city precincts and new employment opportunities.

The construction of Cross River Rail means these precincts will be significantly revitalised, and Brisbane will continue to evolve as a world-class city with a modern integrated public transport system.
