This Privacy Statement applies to all the publicly accessible pages located at this website, and other communications with Cross River Rail including phone calls, emails, form submissions, stakeholder and community engagement activities, and written correspondence.

Cross River Rail does not have any responsibility for the privacy policies or practices of third party sites linked to the crossriverrail.qld.gov.au website.

Personal information collected by Cross River Rail for the purposes set out in this disclaimer will be managed in accordance with
the Information Privacy Act 2009 (QLD). This includes information collected by or disclosed to our appointed contractors.

‘Personal information’ has a broad definition and may include, but is not limited to, your name, address, phone number, email address – basically any information from which you can be identified.

We may ask you to provide personal information if you request a service from us or from our appointed contractors, submit an enquiry, subscribe to project updates, seek feedback, or participate in stakeholder and community engagement activities, but only in order to:

  • Meet your needs (e.g. answer a question or suggest appropriate content or services for you).
  • Better understand customer needs (e.g. assess or improve the quality of our services to you).
  • Satisfy the stakeholder and community engagement functions of the CRR Project
  • Meet legal requirements.

Other website usage information is collected during each visit. This is aggregated with similar logged information and published in reports so Cross River Rail can identify patterns of usage on the crossriverrail.qld.gov.au site.

This assists us in improving the site and the services offered on it.

As Cross River Rail is now a project in delivery, we will disclose and share your information with our appointed contractors to allow them to provide you with communications regarding the CRR Project and related projects and activities (including the New Gold Coast Stations).

Our contractors will have controlled access to information under our direction, but if at any time you wish to unsubscribe from these project communications, please use the unsubscribe function in the emails or contact us.

Cross River Rail will only disclose personal information to other State and Federal Government agencies where one of the following has occurred: the individuals concerned have consented to the disclosure; the disclosure is in accordance with the Information Privacy Act 2009; or the disclosure is authorised or required under a law.
