Rocklea station accessibility rebuild update

Rocklea station is now open to customers. The rebuilt station is fully accessible, providing a better transport experience for all customers.

The station’s new accessible features include a new overpass and vertical transport system with three lifts, improved access to platforms and accessible car parking and kiss ‘n’ ride parking in the Brooke Street carpark.

In addition to the station’s new accessible features, other improvements include a new (third) platform, new station buildings and public amenities, upgraded platforms 1 and 2 and improved bicycle lockers.

Major construction at Rocklea station is complete, with some minor construction activities ongoing. Information about any ongoing works will be shared with the community in advance.

We would like to thank the community for their patience during the extended closure of Rocklea station.

Information for returning customers

Customers can catch a train from platforms 1 and 2.

The station’s new amenities and ticket office are available to customers, during hours when the station is staffed. Outside of these hours, customers can purchase tickets and top up their go card using the ticketing machines on platforms 1 and 2.

You can also top up or buy a go card online from a local retailer, or at the Translink website.

To book the new bicycle enclosure facility, speak to a member of staff at the station, or visit the Queensland Rail website.

StationLink route 19 will continue to operate between Rocklea station and the PA Hospital once the station reopens.
