Following community consultation and feedback, features to enhance the station design now include:

  • removal of the Gooding Drive switchback ramp, creating a smoother entrance to the station via a shared bicycle and pedestrian path
  • new local bus terminus in the station for improved integration with the public transport network
  • additional pedestrian and cyclist access from the western side at Crelga Court
  • improvements to existing pedestrian paths and active transport connectivity
  • landscaping changes and improved lighting design to enhance visual amenity and overall safety of station.

There are aspects of the station design which must meet specific legislative requirements for rail infrastructure to maintain safety and cannot be changed, for example platform and overpass design, lighting levels, or other safety measures.
