New Roma Street Station

With the addition of Cross River Rail’s new underground station, Roma Street is set to become Brisbane’s ‘Grand Central’, connecting passengers with the existing suburban bus and rail networks, Brisbane City Council’s Brisbane Metro, as well as regional and interstate bus and train services.

On average, more than 46,000 people will use the new Roma Street station each week day, by 2036.

Latest station concepts

Following the announcement of the preferred bidder for our Tunnel, Stations and Development contract, we’re now able to reveal the latest concept designs for our new stations.


Station overview

The station will be set 27 metres below ground level and will have 220 metre platforms to accommodate nine-car trains to provide for additional future capacity.
