Albert Street update

As the first CBD train station built in more than 120 years, Albert Street station will dramatically improve connectivity to the southern part of Brisbane city.

There are now three active worksites for the Albert Street station.

Demolition and site establishment for the northern station entrance has commenced, while excavation for the main station building is ongoing. Meanwhile, the Albert Street site’s roadheader is making steady progress below ground.

While this important construction work takes place, there will be intermittent pedestrian access changes along Albert, Mary, and Charlotte streets.

Pedestrians are asked to follow the signs and direction of traffic control to safely navigate through the area.
