The new underground station at Woolloongabba is situated in the heart of a precinct undergoing major regeneration. Located between Vulture and Stanley streets, the new station and building will be a clear landmark within the heart of this major event precinct.
At Woolloongabba station, urban realm works are progressing, with installation of tiling, landscaping and station signage. Inside the station building, internal fit-out activities and mechanical and electrical services installation continue, with testing and commissioning underway for systems including tunnel ventilation and exhaust fans.
As part of essential utility work required for the new Woolloongabba station, intermittent traffic and pedestrian changes will continue until early 2026 on Main Street between Vulture and Stanley streets.
