Geotechnical investigations – Merrimac station
Cross River Rail is transforming the way we travel across all of South East Queensland. The Cross River Rail Delivery Authority is continuing with planning and delivery of three new rail stations on the Gold Coast Line to help connect South East Queensland’s growing population. Stations are being planned for Pimpama, Hope Island and Merrimac.
From Monday 27 February 2023, geotechnical investigations will be carried out on the eastern side of the rail corridor, within proximity of the new Merrimac Station site. These investigations will be used to further refine the station designs.
The investigations are subject to weather conditions and will be undertaken the following suitable day if required.
