Site establishment – Pimpama station

From late September, site establishment activities are planned to commence at the Pimpama Station site in preparation for early works.

Early works

Construction of the new Pimpama station access road and associated drainage will be undertaken as an early works package and is planned to start in late 2021. The works will include a new signalised intersection at Bedford Road and Old Pacific Highway with connecting pedestrian and cycle pathways.

From late September/early October 2021, a temporary site office will be established at the Pimpama station site on the corner of Old Pacific Highway and Mebbin Street to support the early works activities.

The Cross River Rail Delivery Authority will manage construction activities, and residents and businesses will be notified prior to construction commencing.

Work hours

Standard work times are 6:30am to 6:30pm Monday to Saturday, however work may occur outside of these hours due to traffic permits and safety requirements. Residents and businesses will be notified prior to any out of hours works.

  • Surveying the ground with handheld electronic equipment
  • Installing fencing around the temporary site office
  • Creating vehicle access points off Old Pacific Highway
  • Installing temporary site offices and facilities.

Please see the map below for more details regarding the site area.

Residents will notice an increase in workers and vehicles in the area. We appreciate your patience while we undertake these works.
