Albert Street Cross River Rail Priority Development Area (PDA)

- The Albert Street Cross River Rail (CRR) Priority Development Area (PDA) was declared on 14 December 2018.
- This PDA was declared at the request of the Cross River Rail Delivery Authority to assist with the delivery of the Cross River Rail Project at Albert Street.
- The Albert Street CRR PDA covers approximately 3,858m2 of land above and adjacent to the new Albert Street underground rail station at the intersection of Albert and Mary Streets in the Brisbane city centre.
Development Scheme
A development scheme is the regulatory document which assists with planning, carrying out, promoting, coordinating and controlling land development within the PDA.
The Albert Street CRR PDA Development Scheme came into effect on 13 December 2019.
The Albert Street Station and Green Spine Overlay provides design guidance for the public realm interface of the CRR PDA for the area identified as PDA associated land.
The proposed development scheme was publicly notified from Tuesday 10 September to Wednesday 23 October 2019. A submissions report was prepared.
Prior to the approval of the development scheme, development within the PDA was regulated under the Interim Land Use Plan.
