Building Brisbane’s future, uncovering Brisbane’s past

While Cross River Rail is helping to shape Queensland’s future, it is also providing valuable insights into its past.

To mark National Archaeology Week, Cross River Rail will host five livestreams with leading experts that will delve into the fascinating history and artefacts uncovered during construction at our worksites.

The livestreams will cover a range of topics, including an introduction to archaeology, the Chinese history of Brisbane based on finds at our Albert Street site, an introduction to zooarchaeology, archaeological finds at Victoria Park, and how technology is changing archaeology.

Cross River Rail’s National Archaeology Week program is held in partnership with Queensland Museum.
