Brisbane’s Mega Project

All this week Cross River Rail has been featured in a daily ‘Future SEQ’ series in the Sunday Mail and The Courier-Mail, taking a look at the various locations where Cross River Rail is delivering new train stations and helping readers get a glimpse behind the hoardings at ‘Brissie’s mega project’.

As the series reveals, Cross River Rail is Queensland’s largest infrastructure project and despite COVID-19, construction has been maintained at no fewer than eight major worksites around Brisbane. With over 2,400 people now working on the project and more than 160 apprenticeship and training opportunities already created, in total, Cross River Rail is now contributing a massive $4.1m dollars into the economy every day.

A different worksite is featured each day and the articles introduce readers to what is happening at each worksite. We also get to meet some of the local Queenslanders who are working at these sites and hear how they feel about playing their part on delivery of a project that is set to transform the way we travel to, from and through Brisbane in the future.
