June and July extended track closures: Beenleigh and Gold Coast lines

From Saturday 28 June to Friday 18 July, there will be track closures and travel changes on Beenleigh and Gold Coast lines as we work to upgrade the South East Queensland rail network.

Wherever you are going, there will be plenty of transport options available to get you where you need to be, including express and all stops railbuses.

If you are planning to travel during this time, we encourage you to consider your travel options and allow extra travel time.

All services will return to a regular timetable from first service Saturday 19 July.

Journey planning and railbus information

  • You can’t take bikes, e-scooters or other large items on board railbuses. All railbuses are accessible services
  • Please allow extra travel time as railbuses are impacted by traffic and road conditions
  • From Monday 30 June, there will also be big changes to Brisbane and Logan bus services and timetables.

Upcoming Transport Changes Unrelated to Cross River Rail – June and July 2025

In addition to the June/July 2025 track closures, these other transport changes that are unrelated to Cross River Rail are also occurring:

  • From Friday 20 June to Monday 25 August 2025, weekend closures of the Inner Northern Busway from Queen Street bus station to Roma Street busway station will be in place for Brisbane Metro works. More information here.
  • On Monday 30 June there will be big changes to Brisbane bus services and timetables alongside the launch of Brisbane Metro route M1 services. These changes will improve the efficiency of the network and provide you with better bus services and more transport options. More information here.
