Salisbury Station Reopening

On Monday 2 March 2026, Queensland Rail and Translink in collaboration with UNITY Alliance will reopen Salisbury station to train services. The station will be fully accessible, providing a better transport experience for all customers.

Thank you for your ongoing patience during the accessibility rebuild of Salisbury station.

Upon opening, the station will be completely accessible from Lillian Avenue and Dollis Street station entry points (see map below).

Salisbury station’s new accessible features include improved access to platforms, and new accessible car parking and kiss ‘n’ ride bays on the Dollis Street side of the station.

In addition to the station’s new accessible features, other improvements include a new (third) platform, new station buildings and public amenities, and a new secure bicycle storage facility on Lillian Avenue.

Details of Ongoing Work

Some minor construction works will continue at Salisbury station during standard hours between 6.30am and 6.30pm Monday to Saturday. These include:

  • Testing of services (e.g., electrical, communication)
  • Minor patching, painting and sealing works on the pedestrian overpass, station platforms and buildings
  • Ongoing maintenance of landscaping

SSome activities will be completed outside of standard working hours and during planned track closures. UNITY Alliance will notify residents and businesses before out of hours works and future track construction.
