Pedestrian changes Yeronga station

From Saturday 24 July 2021, pedestrian access across the rail corridor at Yeronga station will change as station upgrade works progress. People wanting to cross the rail corridor will now use the temporary scaffold overpass between Lake Street and the eastern side of Fairfield Road.

The new temporary scaffold overpass will be open for pedestrians from Saturday 24 July 2021 and the existing pedestrian overpass will be closed. This will allow for the demolition of the existing timber and concrete overpasses, and construction of the new permanent pedestrian overpass featuring stairs and lifts to improve accessibility.

The temporary scaffold overpass will provide safe pedestrian access over the rail corridor at Yeronga station from the corner of Lake Street and Killarney Street to the existing footpath on the eastern side of Fairfield Road.

Safety barriers and fencing will be installed to direct pedestrians towards the Fairfield Road / Kadumba Street signalised intersection.

Please observe signage around the Yeronga station construction site.

The temporary overpass and pedestrian changes will be in place until mid-2022.
