New temporary bus stops

Between late March and mid-April 2021, UNITY Alliance will install a new temporary bus stop on Ipswich Road in front of Moorooka station, two new temporary bus stops at Yeerongpilly station and two new temporary bus stops on Fairfield Road, Yeronga.

As part of the Cross River Rail Project, the six stations between Fairfield and Salisbury will benefit from significant accessibility upgrades, including new overpasses and lifts, platform improvements, new station buildings and upgrades to facilities such as Kiss ‘n’ Ride, accessible parking and bicycle storage.

The first of these upgrades will commence at Yeronga station, which will be closed from mid-April 2021 for approximately six (6) months.

To support customers during the closure, new bus route 109 StationLink will be introduced, running between Moorooka and Boggo Road stations.

Five new temporary bus stops will be built for the new 109 StationLink service at the following locations:

  • one at Moorooka station on Ipswich Road
  • two in Yeronga on Fairfield Road
  • two at Yeerongpilly, one on Fairfield Road and one on Wilkie Street
