Yeerongpilly – geotechnical investigations from 7 December 2019
Yeerongpilly station geotechnical investigations will be undertaken Saturday, 7 December and Sunday, 8 December 2019 to prepare for construction of the Cross River Rail project. A temporary road shoulder closure will be in place on Wilkie Street. Select car park spaces on Wilkie Street will be also be closed from 8:00pm 6 December until 6:30am 9 December.
What to expect
This work will be undertaken from 6:30am to 6:30pm and you may notice some minor disruptions such as:
- Temporary road shoulder closure on Wilkie Street at the (104 bus route) bus bay on Saturday 7 December. Please note that 104 bus route is not in service on weekends.
- Temporary closure of 12 commuter car parks on Wilkie Street. Vehicles must be removed from these spaces by 6:00pm Friday 6 December
- Increased levels of localised noise and dust from the use of machinery such as drill rigs, minor saw cutting, vacuum excavation trucks and excavators
- Increased construction vehicle movements on local roads adjacent to the project corridor.
In the event of delay, this work will be undertaken on the next available day shift.
Access to properties will be maintained at all times.
