Yeerongpilly – geotechnical investigations from 7 December 2019

Yeerongpilly station geotechnical investigations will be undertaken Saturday, 7 December and Sunday, 8 December 2019 to prepare for construction of the Cross River Rail project. A temporary road shoulder closure will be in place on Wilkie Street. Select car park spaces on Wilkie Street will be also be closed from 8:00pm 6 December until 6:30am 9 December.

 

What to expect

This work will be undertaken from 6:30am to 6:30pm and you may notice some minor disruptions such as:

  • Temporary road shoulder closure on Wilkie Street at the (104 bus route) bus bay on Saturday 7 December. Please note that 104 bus route is not in service on weekends.
  • Temporary closure of 12 commuter car parks on Wilkie Street. Vehicles must be removed from these spaces by 6:00pm Friday 6 December
  • Increased levels of localised noise and dust from the use of machinery such as drill rigs, minor saw cutting, vacuum excavation trucks and excavators
  • Increased construction vehicle movements on local roads adjacent to the project corridor.

In the event of delay, this work will be undertaken on the next available day shift.

Access to properties will be maintained at all times.

Temporary car space closure at Rocklea station: Friday 6 to Monday 9 December

Car park spaces will be temporarily closed from 8:00pm Friday, 6 December to 6:30am Monday, 9 December 2019, for early works at Rocklea station to prepare for construction of the Cross River Rail project. Customers are requested to please ensure their vehicles are moved from these spaces by 8:00pm Friday, 6 December.

 

What to expect

During this activity you may notice some minor disruptions such as:

  • Eight Rocklea station commuter car spaces (highlighted in red on map) will be temporarily closed for rock and soil condition investigations
  • Increased levels of localised noise and dust from the use of machinery such as drill rigs, vacuum excavation trucks and excavators
  • Increased construction vehicle movements on local roads adjacent to the project corridor.

In the event of delay, this work will be undertaken on the next available day shift.
