Tower Crane removal – Joe Baker Street

From 6.30am Friday 13 June to 6.30pm Sunday 22 June, the tower crane (Cliff Hanger) will be removed from the Boggo Road worksite.

Works to remove the tower crane will be carried out across day and night shifts. Oversized components will be transported from site outside of standard construction hours, between 6.30pm-6.30am.

What to expect

  • Increased truck and large machinery movements
  • Increase in noise, lighting and workforce
  • Property and pedestrian access will be maintained under the direction of traffic control
  • Short-term traffic impacts on Joe Baker and Peter Doherty streets, please allow additional travel time
  • Traffic control will be in place to assist motorists, pedestrians and cyclists.

Works will involve:

  • Dismantling of the tower crane into sections within the work site, using mobile cranes
  • Loading and removal of crane pieces, oversized may be removed outside of standard construction hours
  • Work will occur continuously over the weekend.
