Railway Terrace and Kent Street utility works
From late March 2026 to late 2026, intermittent short-term road closures will be in place on Railway Terrace and Kent Street to support utility works for the new Boggo Road station.
Construction activities
- Installing site fencing, hoarding and road safety barriers around the work areas
- Site and utility investigations to confirm the location of current services
- Minor finishing works including relocating man hole lids, pit rectification, and sewerage line inspections via CCTV.
Construction activities are subject to weather, unforeseeable conditions and approvals.
Traffic and pedestrian impacts
- Short term lane closures will be required in the work areas (refer to map)
- Access to properties and businesses will be maintained at all times
- During traffic changes, detours and traffic control will be in place to assist motorists, pedestrians and cyclists

What to expect
On Railway Terrace and Kent Street, you can expect:
- Day and night works involving excavation and construction of new underground service lines and pits
- Use of equipment such as excavators, light vehicles, lighting towers, vacuum excavation trucks, generators, power tools and hand tools
- Increased noise, lighting, and workforce presence in the area.
