Connecting community with health, science and education

Cross River Rail will transform the way we travel in the future and includes delivery of a new pedestrian and cycle bridge, linking the Cross River Rail Boggo Road underground station and existing Boggo Road busway/Park Road station with the Princess Alexandra Hospital precinct and South East Busway.

The bridge will be a game-changer for the local community, providing much-needed connectivity and allowing easier movement on foot, by bike or scooter, or by connecting with public transport. It will also benefit and connect what is already a world class health, science and education precinct.

Entrance to the bridge on the western side will be via a grade-separated path off Peter Doherty Street, with the bridge crossing over the rail line and linking into the existing bikeway near the Princess Alexandra Hospital Busway.

So what should we call it?

The community is invited to suggest names for the Boggo Road Bridge that will be considered by a naming committee comprised of community members and organisations relevant to the future Boggo Road Bridge.

The Cross River Rail Delivery Authority is following the Department of Transport and Main Road’s infrastructure naming protocol and each name suggestion must conform to the criteria outlined in the submission form, and may require the submission of substantiation documentation, depending on the suggested name.
