Yeerongpilly station construction update - May 2026
During May 2026, installation of services and drainage works will continue within the rail corridor between Yeerongpilly and Moorooka stations.
Details of works
The following activities are scheduled to occur between 6:30am and 6:30pm, Monday to Saturday throughout the month, weather and construction conditions permitting:
- Installation of service pits, conduits and drainage within the rail corridor including excavation, compaction and concreting. Intermittent temporary traffic holds on Wilkie Street (please refer to map) will be used for large plant and equipment access the rail corridor.
Out of hours work
Work activities scheduled during planned track closures (when trains are not operating) or outside the project’s standard working hours are outlined below, weather and construction conditions permitting.
Work locations and hours
At Yeerongpilly station and in the rail corridor, and between 12:00am Saturday 30 May and 3:00am Monday 1 June 2026, the following works will occur:
- Installation of services (e.g. electrical, communication) and drainage including excavation, compaction and concreting for drainage installation
- Track works.

What to expect
During these works you may notice some disruptions such as:
- Intermittent traffic holds on Wilkie Street between Crichton Street and Station Road to allow construction traffic in and out of the rail corridor
- Trucks and machinery including frontend loaders, excavators with rock breakers, vacuum trucks, mobile cranes, small power tools, concrete trucks, concrete pump trucks, concrete vibrating equipment, generator to power a mobile site office (day and night) and mobile lighting towers to light work areas at night
- Increased noise, vibration and dust associated with the use of heavy machinery and equipment.
