Work is progressing to construct the new public realm on Albert Street between Elizabeth and Charlotte streets.

From early September 2025, pedestrian changes will be required to establish a new work area on Albert Street between Charlotte and Elizabeth streets (refer to map below). This arrangement will remain in place until late October 2025.

Work has been staged to maintain access to businesses and properties. Access to businesses will remain open during existing business operating hours.

What to expect:

  • Installation of new barriers and adjustments to existing hoarding
  • Changes to pedestrian access during day and night
  • Traffic control and signage in place to assist
  • Work will occur during both day and night
  • Increased noise, dust, vibration and worksite lighting
  • Potential impacts to existing services (e.g. power, water, gas). Affected properties will be notified if required.
