Free kids activities in the Brisbane CBD and Gold Coast these September school holidays

Cross River Rail’s free school holiday program kicked off at the project’s Experience Centre in the Brisbane CBD and select libraries on the Gold Coast over the weekend.

The new school holiday program entertains and inform young minds, with children able to channel their creativity into design, art or craft, test their coding skills with mini robots or delve into mapping.

Activities include the ‘Lego City Build’, where participants can design and construct their own Albert Street precinct using Lego, and ‘Bee Green’ which sees participants watch a beekeeper at work, taste honeycomb, and make a native bee hotel to take home.

All the activities are free, however some require a booking. Dates and times, as well as booking details, can be found on the Experience Centre website.

The Cross River Rail Experience Centre is a community engagement and education hub developed in partnership with Queensland Museum. It provides detailed project information, digital engagement experiences including Virtual Reality, and learning opportunities for visiting members of the public.
