Installation of signalling infrastructure – October 2025

A new digital signalling system is being progressively installed to key parts of the South East Queensland (SEQ) rail network, including in the Cross River Rail tunnels and the area south to Moorooka station

Details of work

Between 6.00am on Saturday 25 October until 6.00pm on Sunday 26 October, excavation and trenching will be undertaken within the rail corridor alongside Gerlee Street, Tennyson.

These works are essential to support the future installation of cabling for the new digital signalling system known as the European Train Control System (ETCS).

What to expect

  • Increase in dust and noise.
  • Personnel and work vehicles accessing and working in the rail corridor close to your residence
