Mary Street long-term traffic changes
Work is progressing on the construction of the new Albert Street station, between Mary and Charlotte streets.
Traffic and Pedestrian Access Changes
To support construction of the new Albert Street station, traffic and pedestrian access changes are in effect on Mary Street near the main station entrance (Lot 1) and are expected to remain in place until late 2026.
These road and footpath closures are in effect day and night, seven days a week, subject to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
Current Traffic Changes
- The eastbound lane of Mary Street adjacent to the Lot 1 construction site is closed. Vehicles travelling eastbound cannot pass through the work area
- The northern footpath of Mary Street adjacent to the Lot 1 construction site is closed, with pedestrians diverted to the southern footpath
- The westbound lane of Mary Street will remain open. There are no changes to bus services on Mary Street
- Access to properties on Mary Street is maintained, including access to Mantra on Mary.

- Changed pedestrian access during the day and night.
