Changes to train services while track works continue

Cross River Rail crews have just finished a mammoth 15-day work program, working day and night during track closures to complete critical works in the rail corridor that could not have been done with trains running.
A shorter set of track closures – from Saturday 30 September to Thursday 5 October – is about to start, which will impact the Beenleigh-Ferny Grove, Gold Coast-Airport Cleveland and Shorncliffe lines.
During the 15 day closure, major track and station works were carried out around Dutton Park, Yeronga and Fairfield, Yeerongpilly station was readied for closure, and South East Queensland’s new world-class signalling system was tested on the Shorncliffe line.
During the shorter closure, crews will complete maintenance work on the Annerley Road bridge near Dutton Park station, and significant upgrades to rail infrastructure near Yeerongpilly station.
Meanwhile, Yeerongpilly station closed on Monday 18 September for a full accessibility rebuild, and is scheduled to reopen in late-2024.
The station is one of seven being between Dutton Park and Salisbury being rebuilt through Cross River Rail.
