Beenleigh and Gold Coast line extended track closures

From Friday 27 June to Sunday 19 July, there will be major track closures on the Beenleigh and Gold Coast lines for works on multiple rail projects including Cross River Rail Delivery Authority works, Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail, Loganlea Station Relocation and the new ETCS digital signalling system.

We’re building a better rail network for South East Queensland, but that means ongoing track closures and travel changes. Wherever possible we schedule these works when fewer people are travelling, such as school holidays, to minimise the impact on customers.

From Saturday 27 June to Sunday 5 July:

  • Buses will replace trains between Varsity Lakes and Boggo Road stations.

From Monday 6 to Sunday 19 July:

  • Buses will replace trains between Banoon and Boggo Road stations.
  • Beenleigh and Gold Coast trains will run as a combined service between Varsity Lakes and Banoon stations.

There will be express and all-stops railbuses, as well as regular bus services available.
Some journeys may take significantly longer than usual. Please consider your travel options, plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
