Extended track closures – Saturday 19 September to Sunday 11 October

From Saturday 19 September to Sunday 11 October, there will be major track closures on the Beenleigh and Gold Coast lines for works on multiple rail projects including Cross River Rail, Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail, Loganlea Station Relocation, Queensland Train Manufacturing Program and the new ETCS digital signalling system.

We’re building a better rail network for South East Queensland, but that means ongoing track closures and travel changes. Wherever possible, we schedule these works when fewer people are travelling, such as school holidays, to minimise the impact on customers.

From Saturday 19 September to Monday 5 October:

  • Buses will replace trains between Varsity Lakes and Boggo Road stations.

From Tuesday 6 to Sunday 11 October:

  • Buses will replace trains between Banoon and Boggo Road stations.

There will be express and all-stops railbuses, as well as regular bus services available. Some journeys may take significantly longer than usual. Please consider your travel options, plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
