Cross River Rail is a 10.2km rail line from Dutton Park to Bowen Hills, which includes 5.9 kilometres of tunnel under the Brisbane River and Brisbane CBD.

The project includes construction of four new underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street and Roma Street, and redevelopment of two existing over ground stations at Dutton Park and Exhibition.

Existing rail infrastructure from Fairfield to Salisbury will also be investigated to determine further rail requirements and Cross River Rail has been asked to plan and deliver three new stations at Pimpama, Hope Island (Helensvale North), and Merrimac/Worongary on the Gold Coast.

Cross River Rail will integrate with Brisbane City Council’s Brisbane Metro services, as shown in the map below.
