Temporary Partial Closure of Car Park
Hitachi Rail is continuing construction work along the Shorncliffe Line to deliver Brisbane’s new railway signalling system as part of the Cross River Rail Project.
Details of work
Due to ongoing construction works, parking at the Sandgate station end of the Curlew Street car park will be temporarily unavailable from 6.00am Friday 18 June to 6.00pm Monday 13 September 2021.
This portion of the car park will be temporarily unavailable for vehicles, with the majority of the car park remaining open (see map below).
Pedestrian access to the station will remain available from the car park via the footpath. During works, traffic controllers will be on site to support pedestrians, and traffic management for construction vehicles will be in place.
Car park users should follow the signs and direction of traffic control.
A temporary roundabout will also be installed to assist cars to turn around within the car park area.
