Albert Street Station Precinct
The new underground Albert Street station will provide rail services to the southern end of the CBD for the first time, opening up opportunities for employment, business, education and entertainment.
The over-station development will also form part of the Brisbane City Council’s concept for a Green Spine connecting Roma Street Parklands, Albert Street and the City Botanic Gardens.
Connecting the Heart of the CBD
This new underground station will dramatically improve connectivity to the southern end of the city, transforming the areas from being a city edge precinct to becoming the ‘central station’ of the southern CBD.
It will become the main public transport access point for QUT’s Gardens Point campus, the parliamentary precinct, the new Queen’s Wharf development, an upgraded Eagle Street business district and the City Botanic Gardens.
