Environmental and geotechnical investigations – Merrimac station

Cross River Rail is transforming the way we travel across all of South East Queensland. The Cross River Rail Delivery Authority is continuing with planning of three new rail stations on the Gold Coast Line to help connect South East Queensland’s growing population. Stations are being planned for Pimpama, Hope Island and Merrimac.

Environmental and geotechnical investigations are continuing and further works are scheduled to continue from 25 October 2021, weather permitting.

These investigations will be used to further refine the station designs. Community consultation on the Merrimac station design will be undertaken in late 2021.
